WEDNESDAY, March 13 is Spring Picture Day. Look your best for your individual picture and class picture! A proof or portrait package will be sent home from the school with information on how to order. You don't have to pay in advance (Allow 3-4 weeks) Choose colors that compliment your child. Solid colors and small patterns work best. Avoid clothing with large images and logos. Prices ranges from $64 to $12.
GRADES 2-5--Parents and Families, We are pleased to share that the students can now use IXL at home for extra practice. Details on how to log in will be in your child's bookbag. IXL is an online learning hub. Students can access the tutorials and continue independent learning at home. Parents can rely on IXL videos as an additional resource for supporting their child. THIS IS NOT FOR A GRADE. Access will allow you to work with your child at home and view Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA tutorials/videos at home. If you have questions/concerns, please contact your child's teacher.

(Optional) North's Black History Month Essay Contest--Open to all Grade Levels--2-3 Winner and a 4-5 Winner--Read Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream Speech. Explain 3 ways that you see evidence that his dream became reality as you look around your school and your community. (Max 500 words) $25 to each winner DUE FEBRUARY 29th.

Due to the possibility of patchy ice on the roads and extremely cold temperatures/wind chills for bus riders, PCS will operate on a 2-hour delay for staff and students tomorrow, 01/17. Breakfast will not be served and daycares will open at 8 am. Please be careful and stay safe.

Due to power outages and trees down in spots across the county, Person County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Wednesday 01/10. This will allow time for power restoration, debris to be cleaned up, and buses to run during daylight hours. Please travel safe.
