It's National School Bus Safety Week! Safety doesn't begin or end with the bus ride. It's about safety at every stop!
Please remember these two important safety tips:
Stay Alert: Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
Stop for the Bus: Obey the stop-arm law every time.
Thank you for all that you do to help keep all PCS students safe from the time they leave home in the morning until they return in the afternoon!

Person County Schools invites you to an experience that will provide parents with the tools they need to take a proactive approach in discussing the dangers of substance use with their children, as well as recognize signs of risky behavior. Preventing substance use starts at home. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain this vital knowledge!

Due to some snow covered rural roads that are traveled by buses, there will be no school for students on Friday, February 21st.  Staff will report on a two-hour delay. PCC will operate on a two-hour delay and students should check their messages regarding the status of their college courses.  Stay safe and have a great weekend.
Due to the ongoing winter weather and hazardous travel conditions, Person County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th.  Enjoy the snow and stay safe!

Due to potential continued hazardous road conditions in rural areas, there will be no school for students tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd.  PCS  will operate with a  Required Teacher Workday for staff beginning at 10:30 am.  Please stay safe and warm.
