Please join us in welcoming another new member to the Oak Lane team. Ms. Kristen Atkins will be joining our team as our new School Counselor! We are so excited to fill this position for the upcoming school year!
"Hi! I'm Kristen Atkins and I'm originally from Elizabeth City, NC. I've been living in Jacksonville, FL for the last five years and I'm eager to get back to NC! My family is nearby, and I am excited to be closer to my nephews and extended family. I'm also excited to build new relationships in the area. I enjoy hiking, water sports, and going on road trips with my dog. I attended ECU for a year before transferring and graduating from the University of North Florida in 2020. I will be graduating from Liberty University with a master's degree in School Counseling and a minor in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December of this year! I am so excited to get started at Oak Lane and to meet the families and kiddos that we serve." ~Kristen Atkins

We wish Mrs. Overman all the best in her retirement!
"Hello Oak Lane families! I’m originally from Lexington, South Carolina, and have lived in Hurdle Mills for four years. I enjoy spending time doing anything outdoors especially on the water, cooking and gardening. I also enjoy spending time with my two fur babies as well as my two bonus babies that are a part of the Oak Lane Family. I look forward to meeting and working with the staff, parents, and children that make Oak Lane such a wonderful place!" ~Tara Byrd
