With the forecast calling for some messy weather, tomorrow—Friday, December 5th—will be a Remote Learning Day for all students and staff.
📘 Learning from home:
Teachers have already sent home work packets for students to complete. To be counted present, please make sure your child returns their completed packet when we’re back on our regular schedule.
The good news is, whether it's rain, snow or an icy mix - our families and staff are safe and we will not have to make up this missed school day since students have assignments to complete at home.
💬 We’re here for you:
Our teachers and staff will be available throughout the day on ClassDojo and email if you need anything or have questions.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the cozy start to your weekend! ❄️💙

Today was the official due date for Texas Roadhouse gift card orders… but we know some of you are still digging in backpacks, checking kitchen counters, and whispering, “I know I put it right here…” 😅
Good news: We’re accepting straggler orders TOMORROW MORNING ONLY — and we mean absolute latest, final-final, no take-backsies, the-door-is-closing kind of deadline.
Our Texas Roadhouse representative will be at Oak Lane tomorrow to collect all envelopes and payments, and once she scoops them up… that’s it! No extra rolls, peanuts, or gift cards can be added after that. 🐮📬
So set the reminders on your phone, pack those envelopes, and let’s get those last-minute orders in! 🙌🎁

There’s A LOT happening this month, and we don’t want you to miss a thing.
Don't forget that Texas Roadhouse order envelopes and payments are due tomorrow! Forms of payment accepted: Cash, Checks made payable to Oak Lane PTO, Venmo or PayPal made payable to @OakLaneElementarySchool-PTO. Please include the student's name in the memo line so we can tie it to the correct order form.

Heading to Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving gatherings this week?
Remember to invite your family and friends to purchase a Texas Roadhouse Gift Card to support Oak Lane PTO! 🐾
All orders & payments are due the day we return — Monday, December 1.
Accepted payments:
💵 Cash
✏️ Checks payable to Oak Lane PTO
📱 Venmo/PayPal: @OakLaneElementarySchool-PTO
➡️ Please include your child’s name + “Texas Roadhouse” in the memo/notes.
Helpful Tip:
If you're collecting orders from multiple friends or relatives, we recommend gathering all payments first, depositing them into your personal account, and then submitting one single payment to the PTO. This helps ensure everything is correctly connected to your student’s sales—easy, accurate, and quick!
Thank you for supporting our school! 💙🐾 We hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Attention Parents of Students Who Ride Bus #71!
Beginning Friday, November 21, Bus #71, Mrs. Montague's bus route will change. With the bridges on Hester Store and John Allen Roads now reopened, the bus will be able to resume the normal route. This means students who were previously affected by the closures will once again be picked up at their homes and will no longer need to meet at an alternate location.
Please refer to the message posted in ClassDojo Bus #71 Group chat for the updated estimated pick-up and drop-off times for all students.
As we adjust to the new route, we ask you to please be patient—times may fluctuate slightly (between 5-10 minutes) over the next few days. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
