Good afternoon, Oak Lane families! We are beyond grateful for your incredible support of our Krispy Kreme Doughnut Fundraiser! Thanks to you, we sold nearly 600 boxes of doughnuts and over 110 certificates and BOGO cards—an amazing accomplishment! profiting over $5,800 for our general fund! 🎉 A huge congratulations to Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Ford’s Kindergarten Class for being our top sellers and winning a delicious Doughnut Party! Their class alone sold over 100 doughnuts/certificates and had more than $1,600 in sales—way to go! 👏 🍩 Pick-Up Details: Our fantastic PTO board will be working hard to sort and organize orders after picking them up from Krispy Kreme tomorrow morning. Orders will be ready for pick-up at the front entrance between 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM tomorrow. Please confirm your doughnuts matches your order form before you leave. 📌 A Quick Heads-Up: Due to overwhelming demand, we depleted Krispy Kreme’s inventory of certificates and BOGO cards! If your friends and family ordered these, Krispy Kreme will do their best, but they may not be available for pick-up tomorrow. They have assured us they will be ready by next week. We appreciate your patience and will update you as soon as they arrive. 🚦 Best Times to Pick Up: To avoid the busiest times, we recommend picking up between 3:30 and 5:00 PM if possible, as regular dismissal and My Life Matters dismissal can make navigating the parking lot a challenge. Thank you again for your support, patience, and enthusiasm! We can’t wait to see you tomorrow, and we hope your friends and family enjoy their delicious doughnuts! Please pass along our sincere appreciation for their support of Oak Lane! 🍩💙

What a Week, Cougars! 🐾 This might have been the shortest school week in history, but we were so happy to have our Cougars back in the building today! 💙 📢 Don’t forget to check out this week’s Paw Print Newsletter for updates. Over the next few weeks, our schedule will be a bit quieter as we focus on mid-year assessments. These assessments are incredibly important—they help us see how much your child has learned since the beginning of the year and identify the skills they still need to work on to reach grade-level proficiency. 🗣️ Please encourage your student to give their best effort on these assessments! Accurate results will help us provide the support they need to succeed. Don't forget to check your child's bookbag for their report card! 📄 Please sign the cover sheet and return it on Monday. Thank you for your support! 🐾 We hope you have a wonderful weekend! Let’s cross our fingers for a normal schedule next week—we’re all ready to get back into our routines! 😊 https://secure.smore.com/n/sga9p

Don't forget there is no school on Monday or Tuesday this week! On Monday, January 20, there will be no school as we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a visionary leader who fought tirelessly for equality, justice, and peace. His leadership during the Civil Rights Movement changed the course of history, reminding us of the importance of standing up for what is right and treating all people with dignity and respect. This day off is more than just a break from school; it’s an opportunity to reflect on how we can live out Dr. King’s dream in our own lives. As Dr. King so beautifully said, "The time is always right to do what is right." Let’s honor his legacy by continuing to work towards making the world a better place for all. There will also be no school for students on Tuesday, January 21, as our teachers will be hard at work during a scheduled Teacher Workday! This important day gives our teachers the time they need to: 📝 Finalize report cards and evaluate student progress. 📖 Participate in professional development sessions to grow their skills and enhance classroom instruction. 💡 Collaborate with colleagues to plan meaningful lessons and activities for the weeks ahead. At Oak Lane Elementary, we are committed to providing the best learning experiences for our students, and our amazing teachers are always striving for excellence. Thank you for supporting their hard work and dedication! An updated Paw Print Newsletter will be shared tomorrow!
