Oak Lane Elementary School

Due to secondary roads throughout the county still being snow covered, PCS students will have a remote learning day tomorrow, Monday, January 13th. Staff will operate on a two-hour delay. Stay safe and warm.

Due to the forecasted winter weather, Person County Schools will release early on Friday, January 10th. Elementary and high schools will release at 12:45 pm and middle schools will release at 1:00 pm. There will be no daycare or any other after school activities.

With a Winter Storm Watch in effect for our area, we’ve decided to postpone the Student Art Show & Free Family Movie Night originally planned for tomorrow at The Kirby. 🎨📽️ Mark your calendars—our rescheduled date is February 28! Stay safe, warm, and enjoy a cozy Family Night at home tomorrow. ❄️❤️

To ensure the safety of all of our bus riders and routes that begin well before daylight, Person County Schools will be on a two-hour delay, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th for all students and staff.

Due to the Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service and the posssibilty of hazardous road conditions, Person County Schools will be closed for students Monday, January 6th. Staff will operate under a Remote Workday and will receive more information from administrators. Stay safe and warm.

Update for Nov. 14 Students who ride buses 71 & 42 will be on a combined route this afternoon. Students who normally ride bus 71 will be dropped off 45 mins to 1 hr later than usual. For transportation changes, please call 336-364-2204 before 2:15 p.m. Avoid sending changes via Class Dojo. Thank you for your patience!
