With school starting tomorrow, we wanted to remind you about the school bus stop law. Pay extra attention when you see a bus on the road! Together we can keep our students safe while entering and exiting the bus!
Good evening, Oak Lane families!
We wanted to remind you that the PCS Board of Education has decided to delay the start of school for students to Tuesday, August 27, due to maintenance work that needs to be completed at several schools before students arrive.
Kindergartners should report on the same day of the week they were originally assigned. For example, if your child was scheduled to start on Tuesday, August 13, they should now begin on Tuesday, August 27, and the same applies for Wednesday and Thursday starts. Kindergarten teachers will reach out to parents on Thursday, August 29, to share teacher assignments and to invite parents and students to a conference on Friday, August 30.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our office at 336-364-2204. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this situation.
At the PCS Board of Education Meeting this evening, the Board approved a tentative start date of Tuesday, August 27th for the 2024-2025 school year.
This date is for PCS traditional schools and does not include PECIL (start date 08/13) or students who are enrolled in PCC Courses (start date 08/15). Additionally, Directors at Earl Bradsher Preschool and Early Intervention & Family Services will let families know of their start dates.
REMINDER: Our registration portal will close SUNDAY, JUNE 16. We are transitioning to a new student information system. Completing registration will assist in this transition. For more, check your email or visit this link:
