Hello, Panthers! Happy Sunday, and happy May! It’s crazy to think that the end of the school year is upon us, but here we are! This past week, Progress Reports and Testing Letters came home with students. If you did not receive them, please check your child’s bookbag! EOG testing will take place on May 16th for 8th grade science, May 20th for reading, and May 21st for math. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! There is a link in the newsletter to submit a kind word or message to be printed and delivered to staff members. There is also a link to sponsor a staff member’s lunch and a list of their favorite things if you’d like to send in a treat to someone who has made a difference this school year! This week in athletics, our track and field team has a meet on Monday against Stanback at 5pm. They will celebrate 8th grade night before the meet. Our soccer and softball teams will be traveling to Stanback on Tuesday, while baseball is at home and will be celebrating 8th grade night at 5pm. On Thursday, our baseball team will play at NMS at 4:30pm, while softball and soccer will take on the Raiders at home and celebrate 8th grade night. We are seeking proctors for EOGs this year due to updated testing regulations from the state. If you are available on one of the EOG dates to be here at school to help monitor until around 12:30, please reach out to us! You can email mossj@person.k12.nc.us or call us here at school. You will be required to attend a quick proctor training and be an approved volunteer through Person County Schools. The link to sign up can be found in the SMS Newsletter attached to the email version of this message. Have a great week! Link to Newsletter: https://secure.smore.com/n/p1dym0
