I was 15-years-old, growing up in Person County, NC when I dreamed of working for #ABC11. I was inspired by what I saw and felt. Didn't know how I would get there. Faith, laser focus, mentors, support, years of sacrifice, mistakes, growth, hard work, opportunity and talent allowed my dream to become reality. I've traveled to cover some amazing, interesting, and difficult stories. And occasionally, I enjoy fill in work on the anchor desk. My advice to young people headed back to school: Dream, put in the work, believe in yourself, be flexible with the journey, and do not let setbacks, fear or "no" stop you. You only need one yes.
