Thank you for a great start to our second semester! As a reminder, because we use various virtual platforms, some courses have differing start dates. Students in grades 9-12 should refer to our website and the newsletter (https://www.smore.com/txu4b) which has those dates and links to the academic calendars. To our students enrolled at PCC, your classes will begin on Monday, January 8. Please refer to your PCC email for registration details and/or reach out to Ms. Oakley if you have questions about enrollment. Students in grades 5-8 will be on campus for MOY iReady assessments on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 9am.

Happy New Year Fusion Families! We hope you have enjoyed a time of rest with your family and friends. PCSVA student classes will resume on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Please check your Google Classrooms for information from your teachers. High school students who are enrolled in classes on NCVPS, NCSSM, or PCC will have different start dates, so be sure to refer to your student dashboard and emails. Q2/S1 report cards will be sent on January 10. Students in grades 5-8 will be on campus on Wednesday, January 17 for iReady MOY assessments. We are working on finalizing schedules this week as we transition to the second semester and these will be available to view in PowerSchool.

November is National Native American Heritage Month!

Piedmont Electric Cooperative has awarded 12 PCS educators Bright Ideas Grants totaling $15,981.00. These grants will fund engaging classroom projects for students.
Representatives from Piedmont Electric Cooperative visited South Elementary School this morning to deliver news of winning to three educators. Pictured are Hiedi Gustin, Elizabeth Sinnott, and Kristin Hernandez. Other district awardees are Kelly Pearce (Southern Middle School), Lauren Pool and Katy Watson (Stories Creek Elementary School), Pamela Parham (PCS Virtual Academy), Kristen Clayton and Melisa Poindexter (Oak Lane Elementary School), Heather Clarke (North Elementary School), and Dory Newkirk adn Melissa White (Helena Elementary School).
Congratulations to all of our Bright Ideas Grant Recipients and a huge thank you to Piedmont Electric Cooperative for your ongoing suport of the work we do for children in Person County Schools!
