Today, we’re celebrating the hardworking custodians who help keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning each day.
Their work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact is seen and felt throughout every school. From preparing spaces for students and staff to stepping in wherever they’re needed, our custodial teams play an essential role in keeping our schools running smoothly.
To all of our PCS custodians: thank you for your dedication, care, and commitment to our students, staff, and school communities. We appreciate all that you do! 💙
#CustodianAppreciationDay #WeArePerson #PersonPride #ItsBetterInPerson

Throughout this month, we’re proud to celebrate the dedicated principals who lead our schools across Person County Schools.
Being a principal means wearing countless hats — instructional leader, problem solver, encourager, advocate, listener, and so much more. Each day, our principals work alongside students, staff, families, and community members to build strong school communities where students can learn, grow, and succeed.
Their leadership shapes the culture of our schools, supports the work of our educators, and makes a difference in the lives of students each and every day.
🌟 This month, help us celebrate our PCS principals! A note, an email, a kind word, or a simple “thank you” is a great way to let your principal know their leadership is appreciated.
Happy National Principals Month to our outstanding PCS school leaders! 💙

Bright and early Monday morning, our big yellow buses will be rolling as we kick off the 2026-27 school year! That means more buses, bus stops, and students on our roads. School bus safety is everyone’s responsibility. 👧👦📚
As you head out Monday morning and throughout the school year:
🛑 STOP when a school bus is stopped with flashing red lights. Never pass a stopped school bus.
👀 WATCH carefully for children getting on or off the bus.
🐢 SLOW DOWN and be prepared to stop in school zones and neighborhoods.
📵 PUT THE PHONE DOWN and keep your attention on the road.
⏰ GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME. Getting there safely is more important than getting there quickly.
🚨 Passing a stopped school bus can result in a $500 fine and five points on your driver’s license. If a driver strikes a child, the offense becomes a felony.
A child’s life can change in a split second. Stop for the bus. Protect our kids. ❤️
Let’s work together to make sure every Person County student gets to school and back home safely!
Stop for school buses. Watch. Wait. 🚌💛
