It's National School Bus Safety Week! Safety doesn't begin or end with the bus ride. It's about safety at every stop!
Please remember these two important safety tips:
Stay Alert: Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
Stop for the Bus: Obey the stop-arm law every time.

Monday, October 6th is World Day for Bullying Prevention. Person County Schools is hosting a free parent session called “Parenting With Eyes Wide Open.” This event will feature Kevin Roughton, Special Agent in Charge with the NC SBI Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He’ll share how kids use the internet, hidden risks they face, and practical tools parents can use to keep them safe online.
The event will be held Tuesday, October 7th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Person High School Media Center, 1010 Ridge Road in Roxboro. Childcare will be provided, and all parents and guardians are welcome!

Preventing substance use starts at home. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain this vital knowledge!
