Students in Mrs. Nichols’s class completed an activity on Wednesday to get them talking! Students completed the 100s activity by first circling as many numbers 1-100 in 3 minutes with a pencil. Discussions were made about anything they noticed in the first round. During the 2nd round, students completed the activity again, but each using a different color highlighter. Students began noticing a pattern in the numbers so the activity was completed a 3rd time to see who could find the most numbers. After the activity was over, discussions were had about what group work should look like and expectations for group work.

We've had a great start to the school year!
Look at what our students did the first week of school!
Students in Mrs. Gatewood’s class set up and organized their math interactive notebooks this week. We also discussed notebook guidelines that help students understand the responsibility of being good notetakers.
