Person County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students tomorrow, Friday, February 6th. This will allow our bus drivers to run their routes in daylight in case there are some icy patches on secondary roads due to the overnight freezing temperatures. Staff will report at their regular times. We are looking forward to having students back in buildings.
Monday, February 16th will now be a student day for Person County Schools. The remainder of the make-up days will be announced after the PCS Board of Education Meeting on February 19th.
Due to the winter weather last night, Person County Schools will now be closed for students today, Thursday, February 5th. Staff will operate on an optional teacher workday with a two-hour delay.

This delay will allow our staff to reassess road conditions early in the morning following any snowfall forecasted this evening. Safety remains our top priority, and the extra time will help us ensure that buses can safely travel their routes.
