The Person County Board of Education will hold a work session, in addition to the regular monthly meeting, on Thursday, February 8th, 2024. The meeting will take place in the boardroom located at 304 South Morgan Street, Roxboro, North Carolina. The work session will start at 4:00 p.m., followed by the monthly meeting.
Each month, the first part of at least one regularly scheduled board meeting will be set aside for citizens to address the board through public comment. Each speaker will receive three (3) minutes to present comments; however, the public comment session will not exceed 30 minutes total except by majority vote of the board. A sign-up sheet will be available in hard copy form at the board meeting location and online two (2) hours before the meeting begins for any individual or group to indicate their desire to address the board. Speakers must sign up no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to the beginning of the meeting. For full details regarding public comment, please see policy 2310.
