Person County Schools Recognize Teachers and Schools for Academic Achievements
At a Special Recognition Dinner at the Homestead Steakhouse on Tuesday, January 24th, the PCS Board of Education and Dr. Rodney Peterson, Superintendent, recognized teachers for Academic Growth in the areas of Math and/or Reading, Advanced Placement Course Proficiencies, and Career and Technical Education Credentials. These recognition areas are designated by the state. Individual schools and their administrators were also recognized for Meeting and/or Exceeding Expected Academic Growth during the 2021-2022 School Year.

Dr. Rodney Peterson praised both teachers and administrators for being dedicated to our students and schools and for the efforts put forth in promoting the academic growth of all students. Teachers received legislated performance bonuses funded by the state of North Carolina, as well as a certificate recognizing their individual areas of excellence.
