Rachel Blackwell of PCS Transportation Department named 2021-2022 Person County Schools Auxiliary Employee of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Rachel Blackwell for being selected as the 2021-2022 Auxiliary Employee of the Year for Person County Schools! Ms. Blackwell is the Transportation Information Management System (TIMS) Coordinator for the District.

Rachel began with PCS as a Teacher Assistant and Bus Driver at Earl Bradsher Preschool in August of 2015.  In June 2017, she was selected for her current position of TIMS Coordinator.  Rachel has served the District with dedication and commitment for the past 6 years.

PCS Transportation Director, Carol Bowes, stated, “Rachel is a quick learner in all aspects of her position.  She has done an amazing job, especially during the challenges that COVID-19 has presented, by creating numerous routes to accommodate all needs.  Rachel understands the urgency of our department and never loses focus of our main goal which is the safety of students.  Our entire team celebrates Rachel with this well-deserved honor.”
