The purpose of Academy 9 is to assist students as they transition to high school.  All 9th grade students will be enrolled in "Academy 9" during Rocket Seminar (3rd period yearlong 40-minute course) where they will be monitored and mentored academically and behaviorally and will receive instruction and support in a variety of relevant topics.  These students will also participate in clubs, receive tutoring, prepare for the ACT and SAT, and be mentored by upperclassmen through the Peer Group Connections program during this time as well.
